MG MGF Technical - 2 bolts in boot??
I have a MGF and i notice in the boot above rear light assembly (both sides) i notice there are two fairly thick exposed threads, i wondered should these be covered with nut/cover? There are holes in the mat for the threads. Do you have these in your MGF ? are they covered? thanks in advance |

You know what? I've always wonder about that myself! |

Tony ur not taking the p*** are you?? |

He He He! No honestly, I've seen the holes you speak of and I've wondered the same thing. I have no idea. Thought maybe something to do with the mesh thing that some of the MGF's have. Its a mystery wrapped up in an enigma! |

The MG luggage net fits on them! |

Ted, these are the bolts above the rear light assembly, i have the standard luggage net on opposite side!!!!! |

That's the ones - for the 'optional extra' net! |

;) ROFL Back serious. >i notice in the boot above rear light assembly (both sides) Apology, I don't have these above, but _below_ the rear lights and mine are the upper 2 (of 3) for the bumper fixture. |

Confirm what Ted said - although not necessary. I have just bought the accessory "boot tidy kit"; just a long net that clips on to hooks. The hooks are threaded to fit onto the bumber fixing bolts that stick through the holes in the boot liner. |

I opened the bonnet to find that there was a space where the engine should be and somebody had stuffed an old steel wheel in there. Luckily somebody left a spare engine in the boot. |

The net on the engine bulkhead used to hold the hood cover, but not very well. The original Scarlet Fever had an additional cargo net between the lights, but not sure if this was transferred to the rebuilt version. Chris |
