MG MGF Technical - 4 digit access code

i know this has been done before but here goes. ive never had one with my car as bought second hand. did i reaD That you can get it on line. the four digit access code that is . oh and the radio code as well .and does anyone know how much. thanks ...mel..

your MG Rover dealer should be able to look them up for you - take your V5 with you, pick a quiet time of day on Service reception and be nice to them...

Early Fs were issued with the wrong code, but I'm not sure about post-1998, so check the code works before you leave the dealership. The way to work out a correct code from the wrong one is in the archive.

thanks called in to day its free of charge for radio code and access code . they are ringing me with it on monday as the computers were down.

Well SGL Pheonix in Chorley charged me a fiver for the radio code on my F which I bought second hand from somewhere else.

i exspected a charge but was surprised. wife got charged ten quid 3 years a go for radio code for a vectra. they probably feel sorry for as i own a mgf.
