Thanks guys....that was exactly what I was looking for. Does anyone have two of the 16 inch MGF Cup wheels for sale S/H or new? I recently damaged two of mine when I ran off the race track into a trackside culvert..................stupidity on my part I'm afraid.

Incidently, congratulations to those Rugby players of yours............it is not often you beat the colonials at anything but on this occasion you deserved it, although without that damn kicker you would have been in trouble

You could try the MGF Centre, but I fear that by the time you have had them shipped over to you they would prove pretty expensive. I think they are still available as an option on the TF, might actually be worth getting in touch with a local dealer, for once this may actually prove to be the cheapest option.

LOL - don't mention drop goals!!! ;oD

MGF Cup wheels weigh in at a little under 7kg each - so might be fairly pricey to ship from the UK - but I'd try the MGF parts specialists like the MGF Centre (http://www.mgfcentre.com) and other breakers...

Unlucky with the race track accident. What did you hit? :o(

Some of our race tracks leave a lot to be desired in terms of safety. This particular track (Phillip Island) is a wonderful fast open track, probably the best drivers track in Australia (after Bathurst)since it is very fast and has some up and down and really tests the courage of the driver. The turn (kink) on the front straight can be taken flat out in my MGF and is very testing to say the least. There is also a blind up and over turn called Lukey Heights which has a small unsettling bump just off the apex which catches anybody who is less than tidy and fast. At a recent wet meeting there we unfortunately lost three cars in one major accident. Fortunately all three drivers were OK although one spent 13 weeks on his back in hospital to alllow his spinal injuries to heal. He was unlucky in that his roll-over protection ripped out of the rear wheel tubs to which it was attached as the car slid upside down and backwards into a tyre wall.
In my particular case I was simply going in too hard into what is called Honda (a tight RH hairpin). I slid wide and off the exit side and the front went into a ditch (culvert) and came to a very sudden stop. The front cross member was bent as you would expect and both wheels are damaged on the outer lip. I may have to repair them but would prefer to have some undamaged ones.
The local dealers want too much for all their parts. As an example, with my Elise they wanted $650 AUD for a petrol cap. In terms of purchasing power that is like 650 pounds! In pure exchange rate terms it is still excessive at 260 pounds.
We do not have a lot of wrecked cars here so S/H bits are thin on the ground, and the wreckers price at 70% of the list price.
I will contact MGF Centre in due course.

Thanks for your help.

I've asked some time ago for the price of four wheels, and the shipping cost to Spain was of 180 pounds plus vat the four wheels, including tyres.

Yes, only to Spain, but...

Cheaper to come and collect!
