MG MGF Technical - Anyone got a Hydragas pump in the South ?

Hi there

I have a problem with the passenger side rear hydragas sphere, I think its got a leak. I can't get my car into Techspeed until early next week as they are too busy and i need a 'squirt' of hydragas to see me through.

Anyone got a pump in the central South ? I can come to you......

Hi Stu

Try on here http://forums.mg-rover.org/forumdisplay.php?f=12 as well - I'm sure somebody got hold of one recently (could have been a comment from Ralph??).

Stu - talk to Scarlet Fever. He's Essex way though, so not quite central!
Rob Bell

Thanks Rob, Yea I know He's got one, was just hoping to find someone a bit more local ,West Sussex, Hampshire,

I'm going to give the old Rover dealer in Chichester a ring. See if they can give me a squirt without turning it into a money making Spanish inquisition :-)

As you know I have the 4 nipple job so its literally a 3 min job to top it up

I recently bought a hydrogas pump. I'll be taking it along to the Essex Roadster meet tomorrow night so that Andy P (Scarlet Fever) can test it. If you want to be a guinea pig, them come along!

I recently searched on ebay and found new pumps for sale. They were described as Hydrolastic not Hydrogas, in case you want to try.

Thanks for the offer Ralph

I managed to talk the old rover garage in Chichester to give me a squirt, quite amusing actually, I explained to the reception girl about the independent gas points but it didn't get through to the mechanic. So he had the bonnet up and then came out to see me looking very puzzled.

Two pumps was all it needed to get it back up to pressure (400)Hopefully that will see me through until next week now until it goes into car hospital.

They charged me a tenner so not to bad

Thanks for everyones input

Quite happy to top up for £10 and nearer than Chichester
Derrick Rowe

Hi Derrick

Thanks for the offer and I'll keep your details handy.

I know it says i am in Wokingham but I am now just East of Bognor Regis. I have updated my details in the members section but it doesn't want to display the changes for some reason !
