MG MGF Technical - Anyone got a template???

Hi all,

I've just been given a mesh type wind deflector by a friend to fit to her TF. However, there's no fitting template in the box. She's contacted the person she bought it from and he doesn't have it.

I don't suppose anyone has a copy of the fitting template they could let me have? From looking at the instructions the template should give the location of a couple of holes to be drilled to allow the removal of a bolt and subsequent fitting of a longer bolt an spacer tube.

Maybe you could go to Brooklands on Sunday with a 6 inch rule and measure a few cars. A Digital camera may also help.
Believe I saw a Template on E-Bay the other day but now that there are so many pages of rubbish, I do not look often these days.

It's here ;)

(where else) ;)

Check the upper box on site for the template, either as pdf or jpg.
A measure reference is included.
Wherein, lots of installers preferred to remove the T-Bar to take the points where to drill from below. (remove the screw, get in a longer thread pin to mark from below)

Sorry Dieter but a day at Brooklands on Sunday would be more fun. It is just down the road from Andy.

ROFLMAO ...
check the sellers feedback and earlier auctions.
That guy sells print outs from my webside (I recall having the template a little darker.
:)
Isn't me. Promised.

I have fitted 2 now (one on a F and then one a TF) and had not used any templates.

It was easy to perfectly align the holes by taking off the t-bar, then just winding up the two bolts and then putting the t-bar back (first slide out the securing plastic studs) and press down on the area where the holes would go. The up-raised bolt heads then marked the plastic on the underside of the t-bar. Thats where you drill.....

Cheers,
Branko.
