MG MGF Technical - Are the Trophy Alloys lighter

Than the other 16 inch Alloys MGR sell? how much lighter?
Andrew

The Trophy alloys are a lot heavier.
Joe

11.4 kg each
Chris Catchpole

Joes absolutely right: Trophy alloys are up to 60% heavier than other MGF 16" wheel styles (I think that the lightest is the Abingdon/Cup style wheels at 6.7kg - but I don't know how much the TF Ultra light weight mag alloy wheels weigh)

Thanks Rob, that ultralight weight looks amazing, rang dealers spares dept, didn't know what I was on about, just can't get the staff these days. Y'know, I want to spend lots of money on lightweight wheels, you'd think they'd jump to it. Useless :-(
Andrew

As has been mentioned before though, if you are looking to upgrade brakes too, you need to consider this at the same time as the light cup alloys won't take the AP calipers & discs from the trophy/TF. :-(
Phil Brindley (Work)

You're absolutely right, unfortunately Phil :o(

Andy - incredible!!! You could try Brown and Gammons for them (could well be cheaper from here too) - or even the MGF Centre (I don't know if they are able to get hold of these wheels or not, but worth a telephone call).
