SF = Scarlet Fever = Bloke who can help you. May cost you a pint, but probably not even that. ;-) He'll reply to this thread soon enough I'm sure. P. |

Phil, most comments around mid-night were/are intended to help but are sometimes drink enhanced. As Paul has already said SF = Scarlet Fever = Andrew Phillips. Andy has been busy over the last few days but still seems to look on BBS a couple of times a day. Essex Roadsters is a group of enthusiasts that meet twice a month somewhere in Essex. Search archive for Essex Roadsters if you are interested in finding a group of like minded friendly drivers in your area. |

You called? ;-) Andrew Phillips a.k.a. Scarlet Fever (it's a long story...) I live near Stansted, born in Harlow - so, i'm Essex through and through (is this something to brag about or be ashamed of?) ;-) Essex Roadsters: Meet twice monthly on the 1st and 3rd Thursday each month from 7:30pm at: 1st Thurday, The Dick Turpin, eastbound carriageway of the A127 near Wickford. and 3rd Thursday, The Half Way House, junction of the A127 and A128 near Herongate. ------------ Regarding the hood alignment problem. I'm more than willing to have a look Phil, although i make no promises as (believe it or not) my (3) hoods have been fine with little or no adjusting. To be honest there isn't much adjustment in the hood mechanism TTBOMK, but you say there may be a problem with one of the hood seals? My F (Scarlet) is currently undergoing a rebuild, so i suppose we could swap hoods to see if it is a problem with the hood or the windows. Pix of the car can be found here: >> http://www.sfforever.co.uk/ << and a current photo >> http://www.sfforever.co.uk/viewgallerypicture.asp?id=41-41-197-198-199-200-201-202-203-204-205-206-207-208-209-210-211-212-213-214-217-218-219-220-221-222-223-224-225-226-227-228-229-230-231-232-233-234-235-236-237-238-239&queryon=21 << So, you can see that Scarlet's hood is 'available' for this kind of experiment :-) I'll have a look through the workshop manual tonight to see if i can find out anything else that may be to blame - watch this space. Drop me an Email on >> AP1000000@aol.com << and we'll sort out how and when we can get together. The next Essex Roadsters meet is next week (Thursday the 5th at the Dick Turpin), if you want me to bring the hood then i'll strip it off over the weekend and put it in the boot of the ZS, otherwise maybe you could pop up and see me, let me know how you want to play it Phil.
