Not sure about that system Al, but with any luck Fabrice will be along later to tell you all about his experience. He bought some alarm add-on (I think from the States) for next to no money. And I believe he fitted it. |

Yes I'm there ! I did it on my former (now crashed) F... I'm planning to do it again on the TF, but not right now. The device did one touch up & down function (with obstruction detection) + auto windows close when locking the car. It wasn't very hard to fit, provided you have access to the wiring diagram. Finding the right wire from the alarm ECU was a bit harder though. I also remember I had to put a diode inline... Then I found the windows sometimes go up when driving top down in hot weather. The alarm ECU was probably triggering the windows module... I planned to fit a switch inline (it would have been useful too to lock the car without closing the windows), but I crashed the F before doing this mod. Look in the BBS archive for "DEI 530T" (that's the name of the module I ordered from the states). There you'll find all the details about the wiring etc. Yes, I ordered that module online from the US. It wasn't very expensive, but with taxes and delivery, it came to about 90-100 EUR each (I ordered 3 at the same time, so for only one it'd had been be a bit more). However, now this would be cheaper to to the better USD/EUR rate. HTH, Fabrice |

Fabrice, did you take any pictures at the time of installing this module? I'd like to add it to the one-stop window module page on my site, if that's okay? |

Rob, Yes I did take some pictures, but I don't know where they are now... I hope I can find them back :-( I'll look at home on my HD's, CD's, DVD's and let you know. Cheers |
