MG MGF Technical - Avoiding a car-jacking
Anyone know whether the central locking can be set to open just the driver's door on first blip (and both on two left-hand button blips)? This was possible on a late model Polo I had a few years ago, though it took the garage a call to Germany to find out how to set it. Alternatively are there specialists out there who could "customise" the central locking? thanks Chaz

Hi Chaz, I am working on something at the moment to activate the B&G electric boot release from the remote. But it might (all depends on a few tests) be possible to modify the system to do the door opening. It will require some wiring mods and a bit of extra Hardware. But should be fairly simple (I hope) Paul WA02 POJ

thanks Paul, I'd be really interested in the mod. C

Couldn't you just carry a gun like other Texans?

Hi Chaz are you in the legal profession?
Joe
I confess, to being in the legal profession. That's how I know it is not legal to carry a gun in this country. (LOL) C

All of which has reminded me of a car sticker I saw in the US once. "Cut crime - shoot first"

chaz Just do what I've seen in South Africa (world centre for car-jacking) fit flame throwers under the drivers and passenger door and attach to a gas canister. Bit drastic perhaps. Tim
