MG MGF Technical - Balljoints

I have a slight knock at the front wheels which I think is from the balljoints.
What size of spanner do you need to remove the top balljoint from the hub? Also, are there any handy hints before I start.

Thanks
Alastair

You will need a 19mm spanner to remove the nut (top nut)that holds the ball joint to the suspension swing arm.
Then you will need a 42mm spanner to remove the ball joint from the hub assembly.
You might also want to buy your self a ball joint extractor, to remove the taped shaft off the swing arm assembly.

Is the top ball joint the same on the front and rear.

I have a ball joint splitter but not a large enough spanner, I will buy one first.

I am 99% sure it is the same.

Would need to check to confirm, but yes, I think that all four ball joints have the same part number.
