MG MGF Technical - Bridgestone B530
Okay maybe not the top of the range but has anybody tried these or know anything of them ? At 33 quid each for 205 50 15 it is very tempting. I believe they have been superseeded by the RE 720. Comments please. |

I don't think they were replaced by the re720 - the b series is a different bridgestone range - decribed as: "B-Series tyres deliver safe, reliable performance for smaller hatchbacks and saloon cars " Jason H |

The Potenza RE 720 is Bridgestone’s new high performance tyre for the H and V rated segment and replaces its predecessor, the B530. The tyre incorporates Bridgestone’s UNI-T AQ technology and has offers two key areas of improvement over its predecessor. Firstly, wet braking and aquaplaning resistance have been improved significantly whilst the innovative use of compounding technology has allowed the tyre to maintain its wet performance at a high level, even when 50% worn. |

there's your answer then - they are like an old re720 but with worse wet braking and aquaplaning resistance and worse wet performance especially when worn! LOL Jason H |

33 + VAT. N.Ireland or Ballymena to be a little more accurate in a shop called carnissour. I doubt that is how you spell it but I think this shop is nationwide. |

I will get you the contact details in the next day or two after I get them fitted. Very pleased as these seem to be a very good tyre I only hope they wear better than my usual Yokohamas. |
