MG MGF Technical - Bumper Style?
Just a general question. I have just had my rear bumper replaced after somebody knocked and cracked it. I'm sure that previously I had 2 vertical slats inbetween the exhaust, one at each side near the tailpipes. The new one only has one in the middle?? When did they change them?? |

MGF rear bumpers only ever had a central spar Rob - so if your old one had two slats, I am not sure where that one came from??? |

I think the TF rear bunper has two vertical spars. One either side just near the exhaust holes. eg: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=27380&item=2485235981&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW |

A TF Perhaps! |

That interesting!! It certainly had two - like in the picture above of the TF one but in the old style curvy bumper. It was originally a Belgium import - perhaps they were different?? |

It's a 98 VVC by the way! |

MPis and VVCs always had the same single spar bumper - and this is the same irrespective of the market the car was sold to. Perhaps someone has fitted an aftermarket bumper at some point in its past? Or perhaps modified the standard bumper...? |
