MG MGF Technical - Can't get it in!!!!! :-(
For some reason, I have got in to my car this morning, and the seatbelt won't go in. Any ideas? D |

Use the passanger side until you can get a new clip, unfortunatly this does happen. |

Yes, had to do that this morning. Any ideas what has actually gone wrong, or how much a new clip is? D |

The clip sometimes dies, mine is getting difficult, several people have replaced them, search the archives for prices. Changing is DIY, you will need a socket set and a set of spline key bits (available from Halfords on a 'rail') to remove the seat and the catch. Unfortunatly the piece is more expensive than you might hope because it includes an explosive. |

"Use the passanger side until you can get a new clip" -- how do you reach the pedals? Sorry, I'll stop ar*ing around now. |

>Errr......explosive.....???.....hmmmmm....DIY? Yep, go on are you a real man ;-) ? more seriously though, the explosives are electricly triggered and you should disconnect the car battery and let the car sit for a while before unplugging and reconnecting the wires under the drivers seat. |
