MG MGF Technical - Cleaning foggy plastic rear window - it works
Hello All! I summer cleaned my F toady. One thing I attacked was the plastic rear window that was really not opaque any more. Using a plastic cleaning tube from BMW - to my big surprise - the window became as new. Less than 5% of the content was used so I recom this tube will last the lifetime of the F. Excellent stuff, thougt I better recomend it. /Ronny In case anyone's interested I have before- and after picture prooving my case.

Ronny, Interesting, another product that does wonders. Personally, i rate Greygate Plastic Polish (available from Mike Satur and MGCC IIRC). Others have also gotten good results with both Mer and AutoGlym Super Resin polishes. Anyone else got any other recomendations? SF

pictures from Ronny received, just loaded to the site. ;) Good idea to show the difference. We here in D know another stuff which does the same as the BMW stuff. 'C1 Rear Screen Polish' from Dr. Wack Chemicals. Is said to be the OEM for the BMW stuff as well. http://www.mgfcar.de/softtop Cheers Dieter

I use a plastic polish which has the rather homely name of "mothers" works brilliantly. Available from Autobarn stores here in Oz, Alan

I too can reccomend the bmw stuff - excelent

Oh! I forgot to mention. The major advantage of the BMW stuff - as compared to some other cleaning agents mentioned on this BBS - it's available where ever you find BMW. Virtually everywhere. /Ronny
