MG MGF Technical - Clock losing time
The clock in my 98 F has started to lose time at random intervals. Anyone know if it is an easy/difficult job to replace and the approx cost to buy a new/used one - thanks in advance. Steve |

Call Victoria at MGFcentre for 2nd hand. Easy to replace, pull midconsole out, undo 2 screws, pull out the light. To renew do the reverse with the other clock. Johan |

If it was a Delorean I would suggest the "flux capacitor" !! I'll second the last comment.. Give Victoria a ring... It a 10min job to replace it... Stu |

I've had my spare sitting on a shelf for 3 months waiting for 10 mins to fit it. Got the wander bug yesterday and have started looking for another car. Probably quicker than changing the clock. |

"Anyone know if it is an easy/difficult job" Much easier with the centre airvent removed, which is itself removed by pushing up wards towards the screen slightly then easing the lower edge out of the dash. Some are tighter than others. Seem to recall a new clock from MGR is about 30 quid. |

Thanks for the input guys, l'll contact the MGF centre after the Easter break and do the job myself. |
