MG MGF Technical - Clock & Alarm not funtioning...
Any ideas why this may be the case?

Fuse blown due to wiring damage

Ok whose taking bets? My money is on the purple wire between the bootlid and the car. Replace the fuse and open the boot to see if it goes. (it may go straight away- so make sure you use the fuse plyers in the fusebox rather than your fingers). Will

Jason, If fuse No 12 has gone (which is the supply fuse for the clock) then the radio, interior lights, bonnet and boot lights will not work. If the fuse has not gone then the clock could be faulty but I doubt it. Too much of a coincidence for the clock to fail at the same time as a fault appears on the alarm system. Reason for fuse going could be as Will states, faulty wiring to boot lamp or radio/cassette or interior lights etc. Bruce
