MG MGF Technical - Coolant top up (help!)
I have recently topped up the coolant level with (I believe) a correct mix , however, I am now concerned I have far exceeded how much I needed. Being a complete novice, I filled the tank to nearly the top, yet i now learn there is a max marker half way down! What cld the possible problems of this be ?? v concerned. |

It is an expansion reservoir, just take some out to thr correct level, as you have said, halfway. Adrian |

Thanks, sorry to be a complete junior but how do I get the coolant out of this reservoir tank??.....definitely not equipted enough to bleed it ! (having read those instructions) |

No need to mess with bleed screws, just suck it out with a washing up liquid bottle and a small piece of tube. Any improvised sucking device will do. |

Or bolt off the both fixture screws right and left. Splash out the overfilled coolant and bolt back the header tank. |

Or a large turkey baster has a good sucking action on it (if you have one handy) Fiona :-O |
