MG MGF Technical - Door Leak above wing mirror

Well more problems with the 'F'. I have produced another leak that Im having problems solving so nay help would be most appreciated.
The leak seems to be coming in where the plastic mirror A frame meets the window. The water is actually coming out on the inside of the door where the wing mirror A frame meets the internal door panel, it is then running down the front of the door on to the speaker.
Any ideas how this can be resolved. I have tried to insert a bit of seal into the door seal to puff it out a bit but this doesnt seemed to have worked. short of getting a new seal what can I do?

email me if you have any ideas.

Thanks. Rob.

This is a common problem which I also suffer with. Try searching the archives as this is a topic which has cropped up quite a bit!
At the moment I have a wash leather wedged in which works quite well as long as it gets rung out, but unfortunately looks awful.
I'm hoping to get this resolved soon so will let you know how I get on.

Rob,
After searching the archives a few months ago I've used 7mm(?) tubing from B&Q (I think it’s supposed to be used for watering hanging baskets) to pad out the seal. And followed these instructions (as best I could).

Look for Window Adjustment then Cheeter Adjustment
I wish I could say the problem was now completely fixed, but it is much better.

Both Tony & Rob are good for leaks and/or window adjustment.

Rob,
I fixed both sides. Have another go at packing the rubber seal that runs up the area by the mirror. Make sure you go at least 50 mm either side of where the water comes in. You can use "springee" draft excluder rubber seal sold in all hardware shops to push the rubber seal into the leaking area.
I don't think the window actually needs adjusting IMO.
Good luck

Rob,
Forgot to clarify,
Put the padding in the rubber seal channel and not on the outside area that the mirror pushes against.
