MG MGF Technical - Door Mirrors

Hi All,

I've just been reading through the archives about the possibility of the MGF having similar door mirrors to other Rover models. I just wondered whether this is the case as I thought it might be a lot easier to find a Tahiti blue door mirror if I have a wider range of options.

Thanks again,

Jon.
Jon

Yep, MGF has the same mirrors as 1995-> Rover 200...the wiring may be slightly different but we've fitted a few, no problems
Dave

Just out of interest, are these only available in black though?

thanks,

Jon.
Jon

From memory, yes. Only the BRM 200 had colour-coded mirrors, IIRC..
Dave

does this mean that the mirrors on the new Rover 25 don't fit cos i think the new ones look better !
Lister

..or you can get nice chrome mirror backs!...

As Midland MGF are charging me £50 for a whole new mirror, chrome mirror backs seem a bit more appealing. I'd rather stick to body coloured, but £50 seems a bit excessive for a mirror!!

Wow. I didn't expect anyone to take that suggestion seriously! The bad news is, however, that the mirror backs are just over £50 at B&G as far as I remember. Look nice tho' - especially on Tahiti Blue (and anthracite of course!.

Don't know who else does them. MGR do chrome mirror backs for just about every other car they make, but not for the F or TF, I think.
