MG MGF Technical - Drivers seat belt
i don't know if anyone ellse has had this problem but some times the drivers seatbelt locks in one position and i can't get it to unlock without a struggle. i have the cars full history and it has had a safety recall on the drivers door and the has been done? |

I have noticed this, both of my seat belts seem over keen at times :( |

>has had a safety recall on the drivers door not quite, the recall is on the belts where they pass thru the t-bar, looking at the plastic piece the belts go thru, there should be two screws, between the two screws is a vertical split, if you have this then the recall was done. My belts are a bit eager, but given where I would end up if the car went over and the belts didn't bite.... you know what my first choice would be! |

If your seat belt escutcheons look like this: >> http://www.sfforever.co.uk/viewgallerypicture.asp?id=10-23-115-116-117-118-119-120-121-122-123-124-125-126-127-128-129-130-131-132-133-134-135-136-137&queryon=17 << Then your cas HAS been recalled. SF |

As others have said the belts can be a bit 'eager' BUT I prefer that to them being 'lazy' Ted |

For that seat belt recall David, see http://www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/MGF_recalls.htm#r1 If you've got the original type escutcheon, arrange for your dealer to get it changed, FOC. |
