MG MGF Technical - Eagle F1 GSD-2 are still available
Just ordered a pair of 215/40R16 Eagle F1 GSD-2's for my TF from www.blackcircles.com - the guy on the phone said they have a "healthy" stock of them, so if you need any give them a go. Not a bad price, either - £84.34 each including fitting (and a 5% discount by entering the promotional code "CORPDISC1" - thanks, Google!). Tim. |

Tim, I hope you don't mind me hi-jacking this thread, but I've just had my TF160 serviced and the garage told me that I have 2mm and 3mm of tread left on my rear F1s. The car has only done just under 10K miles. Is this wear normal? I've only used the car on the road - no track days. Regards Graham |

That's quite low but not massively - my rear nearside tyre really needs changing, it's just above the tread wear indicator, but the offside has quite a bit more tread left. Is yours the same (more wear on the nearside)? I've done just under 17,000 miles but drive quite gently and most of those miles were motorway. Tim. |

As I understand it, the 215/40 size was used on a few cars so stocks were reasonably generous. The 195/45 however is the rare one - I'll be surprised if there are any left at all 8-( |

The 195's are still listed on Blackcircle's website and the guy on the phone said that if they're on there they should have stock. Tim. |

Tim I bought one 215 just last week from Black Circles too. Cracking service and a good price. Tim |

Good to know! So far so good - rang them to confirm stock, guy was very helpful and also explained the whole process to me. Placed the order online, email confirmation straight away and a fitting confirmation with my selected date and time about 10 minutes later. Tim. |
