MG MGF Technical - EBC Ultimax

Hi
i saw on the archive that some of you have changed for the EBC Ultimax Disc. Could you tell me now what do you thing about them and if you will buy them again, what are the difference between the grooved EBC and the ultimax (feeling in braking), for the choice of pads with the 304mm, which one is better between greenstuff, redstuff or mintex (i drive only on road).
thanks for your reply
regards
pascal

I like the mintex 1166 but they leave a hell of a lot of dust!

Greenstuff are good, alot better than normal pads. Never used redstuff but i believe they are like mintex 1166

I use Mintex 1144s in the AP four pots on EBC 304mm discs. I've not tried 1166s, or EBC greenstuff. The 1144s are good for both road and track. Dust is not too bad - certainly not as bad as the 1177s on the rears!

I have a TF160 and therefore AP brakes. The pads and discs were shot so I had the Ultimax and Greenstuff fitted on fronts and rears before xmas. Lot less brake dust, but braking not as good as the AP /OEM set up. Can't tell if its the pads or discs unfortunately, but I will try some Mintex pads soon to see if that helps. They still stop, but just doesnt feel as effective.

Hi
@David
Maybe you need to wait for more miles, before 200 miles the pads are still new and doesn't brake as well.
so how many miles did you drive since you have changed them ?
thanks for the reply
PAD Pascandrea

Travelled considerably more thatn 200 miles in the couple of days after they were fitted and have done more than 1000 and still not entirely convinced by them.
David as before

@David
Ok send me an email or tell us on the forum what is going on with your new Mintex.
Do you know now which one you will fit on your AP ?
Will you fit them on both wheels or just in front ?
For the ultimax disc do you have them only in front or also on the rear ?
Hope it will be better for you.

@pascandrea
I have the Ultimax and Greenstuff on both front and rear. My intention is to change only the front pads initially. Not sure exactly what pads I am going to fit, but will let you know when I do.
David (as before)

who is cheapest for TF 160 AP discs and pads?
