MG MGF Technical - Electric Water Pump on VHPD engine

Does anyone know the specification and/or manufacturer of the electric water pump that continues to pump coolant around the head after engine shutdown on the VHPD engine?

These are fitted as standard on the Lotus Exige for example.

Alternatively, does anyone have any contacts (Lotus etc.) that could find out?

We think that we've found the answer. It's a Bosch.

It was the one I was looking at some time back - in fact, it was the only one I knew of!
There was a good description of it back in Demon Tweeks catalogue, along with their water pump controller.

LOL - fair enough! There was also an article by one of Davies Craig's resellers in Safety Fast a while back. We're working with that reseller on this project. There'll be more to say when we've got something concrete to report.

Been checking the respective specifications of the two pumps (the Bosch versus the Davies Craig) - they're different, but maybe close enough for our purposes.
