MG MGF Technical - Emma, Wilts

I've got some clear indicators and front lenses for a mk1 MGF. Please could someone point me in the direction of a website that will explain how to fit!

Many thanks
Emma

Emma, there are instructions in the MGF manual (see changing bulbs)
Essentailly the front ones come out by inserting a screwdriver in the screwdriver
shaped cutout in the front indicators and pushing at the plastic spring clip (have a
look at your new ones), be careful as these have a tendancy to break, then
hingeing the lamp holder out around the other end.
The side indicatos come out by pressing them sideways, again a plastic spring clip,
the other side will come free and they lift out.
Whilst the sides are out you might want to put a bit of clear tape on the surface of
the hole, such that the side of the panel is better protected- unprotected this area can
attract rust.

I'll try that!

Emma,

Can you tell me where you obtained your light set from? I have had a set of lights (P/No VUB105950) on order for sixteen weeks and still nothing. Banbury Rover.

Failing that perhaps you would like to sell me an old orange RH front indicator from your car?

Emma, sorry for being a lazy one, but do you have the parts no. for the clear lens set?

I got mine from Mike Satur - very reasonably priced at around £35 I think - came by courier so only took a few days

And a doddle to fit (thanks to Will!) - couldn't believe it literally took 5 mins!

Emma

Thanks for the info Patrick

I found after fitting the clear indicator lenses (the rover 'smoked' lens kit), that the orange bulb is quite prominent. It doesn't bother me that much, but might annoy others.

A silver bulb is available which looks a lot better (flashes orange). You can get details of it here:
