EPAS ECU can go into 'safe' mode when it detects abnormal conditions, usually can be cured by re-booting it - pulling the underbonnet fuse briefly achieves this. |

Thanks will try pulling fuse, I just remember that I disconnected the bonnet curtesy light would this cause problems? |

I've come across clicking, non-functioning EPAS ECUs before - it's the ECU relays. Usually this comes a problem in a car that has not been used for a period of time, usually in damp weather conditions. I don't know exacly what the problem is exactly - and it's happened to my car before, but thankfully everything has corrected itself in time. Might be worth spraying all the connections with contact cleaner though - pop off the multiplugs, and spray away! :o) |

Mark, I keep the bonnet courtesy light disconnected most of the time. It does not cause any problems. Good luck! Sam |

Thankyou all Used electrical contact spray on epas ecu connectoions (behind glove box) fuse 1, and 40/70amp under bonnet, epas working again! Could of rebooted whilst removing main fuse! |
