MG MGF Technical - exhaust manifold

Dear all,

As I've read many positive post concerning the Janspeed 4-2-1 manifold, I've decided a while ago to give it a try.

Because I am not that good in English speaking I've tried to contact Janspeed by the "contact us" option on their website several times but I've got no reply at all.

Back then it wasn't so urgent because the OEM one did what it had to do, but this afternoon my wife came back from shopping with a horrible noise (from the car). The manifold was broken!
So now I'm more in a hurry to get a new manifold.

Has anyone other ways to contact them, except phoning, other e-mailadresses, etc.?

thanks,

I live about 20 miles from the Janspeed Salisbury factory on the South Coast in England. If you post details about your MG F or TF and what you want to know, I could go and see them for you and post details on this forum.

Hi Jeff,

This is maybe a little bit confusing but this manifold is meant to be used in my Rover 200vi (with AC).
I know that this needs a "little work" to be done at the outlet to make it fit to the cat but that doesn't bother me.

The thing I am concerned about is what ground clearance wil be left compared to the OEM dowpipe.

I would like to know from Janspeed what they think of this. The car is used in dayly traffic (also speed bumps etc.)

I also like to know the price from the manifold and shipping costs to Holland.

The little (separate) bend tube I won't need.

Before you ask:
The reason for all this is that I like a decent 4-2-1 manifold for my car but this isn't for sale in Holland for a decent price.
I can buy a custom built for my car but this will take several weeks and it would cost at least 1000 to 1200 euros.
If I buy a Janspeed and make this fit to the cat would cost me (I think) several hundreds less.

Jeff, I hope you you're not bothered with the fact that this haven't much to do with the F, and I hope you can pass this through to Janspeed and get some answers.

Thanks very much,

Arend

I called in to Janspeed today with a copy of your request. They explained that their website is being changed and that is why your request for info was not answered - a fix is work in progress!

You can expect an answer in your email tomorrow.

See my separate post about Janspeed Visit.

Did they give you an answer yet Arend?

Hi Jeff,

Sorry that it took so long.
I'm sorry but I've had no mail from Janspeed whatsoever. And I guess I won't get any in the near future.
My mails to them were at least four months ago, I can't believe that they are working that long on a new website without checking the current. Maybe they just don't like overseas orders?

As I can't use the car at the moment it was important for me to get a new manifold asap.
So in the meantime I've ordered a manifold + exhaust cam + flywheel at PTP, so you don't have to contact them for me anymore.
At PTP they were happy to give me the info I needed and to answer all the other questions I asked.
Most of my mails were answered the same day.

When everything goes according plans these things will arrive tomorrow or wednesday.

Thanks very much Jeff.

regards,

Arend

By the way Jeff,

which post are you referring to about your Janspeed visit?

Jeff,

I just found it at the general department.
Sorry, I only searched the technical.

I am disappointed you've had zero contact from Janspeed (I had no cc email from them about your project either). They seemed so upbeat when I visited them....

Hope your PTP items give the results you seek!
