MG MGF Technical - Flexi Pipe Blowing

Hello All,

Discovered last night that my exhaust flexi pipe is starting to blow from the front end of it.

Is it replaceable as a flexi pipe or does it need a new manifold?

Many thanks in advance.

Albeit some people have looked at welding in a replacement flex section

As I thought...thanks Geoff.

Yet more sodding expense on this car...Wouldn't want to mess about with welding in that cramped location.

By The time you've taken the thing off to weld it you'd be just as well replacing the part!

Try the mfg centre i bought a secondhand one off them .nearly new for fraction of the cost new still working fine for the last two years

I still have my part-used (it's completely sound!) downpipe with improved flex section - see it at http://www.lejambonfute.f2s.com/page14.html - it's all packed up ready to go. Contact me via michaelcngm at f2s.com if you're interested.

This got me through the MOT two years running until it completely fell apart.
