MG MGF Technical - Front lower ball joint P/N changed ?
Hi all, some confusion over here currently due to the lower ball joint part numbers. GSJ497/8 are the well known unique MGF parts http://www.mgfcar.de/ball_joint/balljoint_2254.jpg Left hand drawn here. A german friend inquired and got told they changed to RBK100400 (Right hand) RBK100410 (left hand) Their price increased a lot as well and I at first assumed the other numbers relate to the complete lower arm including ball joint. btw. just cause it fits to the matter. The lower arms for the Trophy are said to be RBJ 000220 - Right hand lower suspension arm RBJ 000230 - Left hand lower suspension arm (Roger Parker message in the archives) Can anyone please look up from newer files what's going on and how much the parts should be ? Regards Dieter PS. Scarlet Fever i.e. needs a RH ball joint ... FOC, if anyone likes to donate :) |

The 2001 EPC lists the RBK... numbers and price is £30.20 Trophy lower arms are listed as RBJ000220 and RBJ000230 and are £54.84 each, but there are also 2 later listed part numbers RBJ101060 and 101070 for the arms and the price is now £37.74 HTH |

David, do you have the part numbers for the alloy subframe 'bushes' used on the Trophy? Got them for the MGF... http://www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/model_specific_suspension.htm Cheers! :o) |

Great, would be of interest whether they list now 3 or 4 types of. - Older suspended black since VIN 026658 - Newer green coloured - Trophy style .. and anything more due to the other cars in vin range 1D522572 or 1D529686 to 2D535576 Rob, any pix ? What colour are they ? |
Dieter K. |
Useful VIN data there Dieter! I have a picture of the TF subframe bush - it's blue! http://www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/chassis_and_handling/TF_suspension_details/rear_link_bracket_assembly_small.JPG Not sure what colour the MGF Trophy item is though - blue as well perhaps? Or silver (I'm guessing!) |

Rob, the Trophy uses 2 off KGE000060 front and 2 off KGE000070 rear, all £31.80 each HTH |

per sub frame? |

relation to location missing, of course. A. Front subframe-Front mount B. Front subframe-Rear mount C Rear subframe-Front mount D Rear subframe-Rear mount Though, A and D or B and C might be equal design and P/N. |

Er, the EPC is just as confusing as the old fiches were :-( I *think* it lists the same parts and qty for front and rear subframes, but as usual the only way to be sure is to have the hands on knowledge which I know Mike has - and he knows I don't ;-) |

Thanks for the info David :o) Much appreciated. Does anyone know what colour they are painted? Since Dieter has asked, now I'm curious too! LOL |
