Quote from MG dealer £138.33 for each bearing replacement ie Labour £71.50 Bearing £46.23 + vat Total for job £276.66 I can buy bearing kit for £36.85 from my local motor factors . I have searched for tips and the main problem is removing inner bearing from shaft. Is there a good web site for detailed desciption of how to dismantle and reassemble. roger

Manged to do it on a metro - which I believe is very similar - and I'm no mechanic. No specialist tool was used. Lots of cursing, a vice and patience though. Others can confirm or deny, but I suspect that common sense and a metro haynes manual will help lots. P.

Car mechanics are doing several features on the MGF, HGF, cam belt, brakes, cooling system are some of the features scheduled, as I am working with CM on this it might be an idea to include a wheel bearing change as one of the features. If anybody has any other suggestions I will pass them on. Mike.

Roger if you are going to save 102 quid then you might consider investing 32 quid on an MG Rover workshop manual.
