External handle Have removed to find the lug broken off that presses down on the metal plate/link rod Found pair of chrome handles at £29.95inc + p&p Brown & gammon, Though still plastic! Decided on used painted handle on Ebay £12.98 delivered. Here's hoping |

Part turned up Friday in vgc and correct colour CAQ, fitted today and whilst getting access I bought a can of Hycote silicon spray and sprayed everything that moved LOL, Windows whizz up and down no more blown fuses hopefuly |

Nice idea to use silicone lub on the window runners - might just do the same, as mine don't glide as smoothly as they once did* [*=masterful use of understatement ;o)] |

Anytime I break a plastic piece, I always try to fix it (if the break is not visible!!!) putting some drops of cianoacrilate glue (super glue 3 or chinese generic :P) and pouring over it a small cuantity of domestic sodium bicarbonate. The result is similar to a rough and semi-opaque metacrilate, VERY hard. I've heard later, is very used on car workshops... And I really can believe it. |
