MG MGF Technical - Hard top water leaks
Has anyone had any problems with water leaks when a hard top is fitted? |

Where's it coming in ? If it's above the front catches it might just be slightly out of line. Undo all 4 and give the roof a bit of a twisty shove forward. Then lock up the front catches followed by the sides. I had this a few weeks ago....it's fine now. |

The other regular ingress points are at the top front corner of the window or around the cheeter. Both are because the rubber surounds on the soft & hard tops are aligned differently and/or worn differently and/or are for different size window glass. All window leaks can be cured given time & patience or money & patience (DIY or Dealer). See Tony's site for adjustment notes. http://www.apttony.co.uk/ When you cure the problem please drop Tony a line to thank him. |

Yep, down here on the Solent Riveria the sun is still shining and the hardtop is still 'garaged'. Even had the air whistling through the hair the other day ( or was it the harmonious vibrations of a single hair? ) Tony |

I've bought some new cds.....with the hard top on I can hear them ! I can only leave the hard top off if there's no one home....I get shouted at if I leave it propped up in the front room. I also think the car looks pretty cute with a solid roof. Top down for sunny days and non motorway drives. |

Top down all the time at Donny yesterday :-) The pit garages were a bit chilly at 07:30, but it soon warmed up and we even enjoyed sunshine in the heart of the East Midlands. Hard top still in the garage - so much junk around it, I'm not sure I'll be able to get it out! |
