Asked same question not long ago!. both will fit but not straight swap, will need work!.

Looking at the TF unit, with silver knobs on ebay was we?.
Mark

yea was looking at it ,and bid and won it,so i hope i can get it to fit.guess your a ebay fan aswell. i,ve had alsorts off there,my favorite being a chrome ashtray, and door pins, off superaly. do you know what work is involved? thanks mel..........

Probably the easiest and best way to fit the TF heater box, complete (if that's your plan) is to go the whole hog and replace the centre console for the MY2000 type with the alloy-effect gear lever surround.

TF rotaries have a longer shaft IIRC so will require modification to fit to the early MGF controller axles. To be honest, I haven't done this so can't really comment further...

B+Q do a tin of chrome look paint, did my air scoops with it and looks ok.
The finish is more ally look, than chrome but you could try it on your original dials.
Worth a go for £2.50!.
Midlands MGF do Mk1 door cards(ours) at £40 each, and TF cards at £70 each!, bit pricey but got plenty in!

HTH.

PS yes.... get round Warrington quite a bit, my brother outlaw has the garage on bewsey rd , if you know it, :o) .
Mark

Oh no Mel! :o(

Sometimes doing something like this, where it hasn't been done before, throws up problems - it doesn't always work, and you end up out of pocket. But at least your experience will help others.
