MG MGF Technical - How do people clean there rear window?
How do people clean their rear window on the MGF and when it gets a bit misty what can be done. |

There are special products for the rear screen, but I use just normal car bodywork polish. (autoglym) HTH |

Autoglym super resin polish will do the job (remember to clean both the inner and outer surfaces), but for really good results against gunge and scratches, use greycoat polish. I think that Mike Satur, B&G et al stock it, and it is also available from the MGF Register (http://www.mgfregister.org) |

BMW plastic window polish also works well. And a lot of elbow grease. |

<use greycoat polish.>...thinking of your old school perhaps,Rob :-)...make that GreyGate polish and you'll be alright,James |

Hint - don't do what I did the other week... I had tree sap all over mine so I got one of those kitchen sponges with the abrasive side to get it off... lets just say the window is a bit scratched in places now.... b&llocks and oops. Even my GrayGate polish isn't getting it clear... What was I thinking? Chris |

I use autoglym fastglass our rear window ;-), but hen it doesn't go foggy like plastic ! Mike |

GrayGate is good, but hard to use and smells horrible. I use that or more often Mer polish which is easy to use and doesn't really smell at all and gives as good results. |
