MG MGF Technical - Idle Speed
Just a quick question. As my MGF VVC is on the other side of the world right now. What is the Idle speed on a MGF VVC? Thanks much! |

Around 900 rpm Paddy. |

Thanks Dave. That was super quick. I have to put that in the official registration document, so is 'around 900' actually '900'? For the purposes of accuracy! I just want to get it right you see. |

Sorry next stupid questions. Would anyone know the full tyre specifications for GSD-3's fitted on the mk2 16inch alloys? I need to write it out for the same registration form. Thanks again BBS |

Paddy, My 98 VVC idles at 825 +/-50 RPM According to w/shop manual. Tyre size for 16" 195/45x16 Front, 215/40x16 Rear. Where willyou drive in H.K. it's only a small island?. |

Nice twisty road up to Victoria Peak - not to mention lovely drives out into the New Territories... :o) And then, there's the whole of China. ;o) If you fancy a road trip to Maccau, I can recommend a very good cake shop very close to the central square... ;o) |
Rob Bell |
Mark II MGF VVC's had 215 tyres fitted all round as standard on square spoke 16" alloys. |

Thanks everyone. Much appreciated. Rob, I may be car nuts but I think taking my car to Macau for a day trip in search of cakes might be a trifle too far. See what I did there? |
Paddy |
Nice ;o) But the cakes are worth the trip ;o) But then I would say that - the shop in question belongs to my wife's Grandparents LOL |
