MG MGF Technical - Indicators

I've just managed to break my front off side indicator housing on my F when putting it back in. I've spoken to the local MG garage who have said a new one will be £25.99 plus VAT.

Am i about to get ripped off or is this about right ??

I was told by the chap that you can't just buy the housing you have to get the lens as well.

I was thinking of buying a set a clear one so i asked him how much for a set of these and again it was going to be £25.99 plus VAT - per lens.

At the moment my indicator is held in with double sided tape (I'm a bit of a DIY whiz you see) so I don't want to wait too long ordering it from somewhere else if it's going to take a while to arrive.

Check the archives for clear lenses because if you can quote the kit part number I seem to remember you got the pair for about £30.00.

I had to replace one of my smoked front indicator lenses a couple of years ago - seem to recall that the price was 17 or 18quid (I think inclusive of VAT) - so 26 quid seems a bit steep to me...

Cheers guys ! Thats put me a little more in the picture. Didn't realise you could buy smoked lenses. Anyone have any links to get hold of these ????

Hi,
The smoked lens kit which people often confuse as clear comes with left and right bumper indicators and left and right wing repeaters a full set of bulbs and 2 spare bulbs.

Smoked Lens Kit = VUB 105950 £35.54 from Rover dealer
