MG MGF Technical - Is it safe?.......

Is it safe to screw things to the panel behind the passenger seat? - (amplifier?)
or is there something there?
any other ideas for placement? - don't realy want to put in boot.

Kingsley - how big is your amp? will it not fit on the carpet under the passenger seat? (push seat fully forwards and look at the gap.
Alternativly have you thought about using lots of velcro- over the large surface of the amp it should hold just as well (if not better) than four screws.

Havn't got the amp yet, want to check if there's anywhere to put it first!

You can't put it under the seat Will - after all, you wouldn't want to get the amp wet!!!

2 options:

1, VELCRO!!!! Odd as it may seem , this works really well, stand the amp up and velcro it to the bulkhead carpet.

2, Drill a timber board so that you can fix it behind the carpet to the bulkhead panel making use of the existing bolts that are there. Screw your amplifier to this board through the carpet. A nice, neat, secure solution.

Thanks SF - will try velcro out when it arrives - otherwise loads of mdf lying around.
