MG MGF Technical - ITG Air Box kit - best price?

Where is currently the cheapest place to get the ITG airbox kit?

Thanks,
Bob
Bob

A scrappy - Rover 820 airbox is 99% identical dimensionally. Use with an aftermarket cone filter of your choice...

See Rob's site for more details.

I have an ITG Carbon MAxogen collecting dust in my garage. I was going to hold onto it for 2.5 more years until my warenty runs out, but am open to offers (and for the airbox as well ;o) )

Really pleased with the ITG Maxogen that I fitted during the summer. I bought it secondhand from Mike Satur. Go for it Bob you won't be dissappointed.
David Clelland

Not sure who does the best price on new ITGs - possibly Mike Satur? Might also be worth considering other cold airbox based filter systems: the Vader, the Pipercross Viper - and as Thierry found, the Green Twister... :o)

If you want to make your own and save yourself a small fortune, as Andy suggests, then the Rover820 airbox is a good option! ROFL

Sorry Paul, didn't realise my address hadn't appeared.
Its the one B&G are currently selling for Ģ310, it only spent 4 months on my '97 VVC before I part-exed it for the TF.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is the main differences/advantages between the ITG & other after market filters?
quikstu

Its really a matter of personal taste/price/looks. The ITG showed the highest power gain when RR tested against the competition, which is why is it regarded as the best. The new Vader may be better still, but have not seen any test results.

Steve,

What were the bhp gains?
Stephane

I never had mine tested on a rolling road so can't give a definate answer, but others on this site have tested theirs, and I believe typical gains are 12-15BHP.

That's the general idea of a filter isn't it?

:Ž))

Stephane,

I donīt know, if you gain BHP but the "push" comes now at 3600 BPM and not at 4000 BPM (VVC). The engine definitely gains torque and with this you have the feeling of more BHP. Think of it as an investment that will provide you much fun.

Yep, but its supposed to do it in the engine bay of an F and not in a box in my garage ;o)
