MG MGF Technical - knock knock

why is my car knocking

here goes
went over a pot hole knock on the right hand side front suspension yesterday .could it be a ball joint gone it was fine before i had my ebc pads fitted no knocks what so ever (anyone for help) please on the subject? thought it might be the poly bushes going
many thanks ...
please help rob, dieter, will, anyone

ps as i pull away i here a knock 2

A suggestion or 3 - Bushes may have moved/damper jumped over one edge or pads shifting in calliper or wheel bearing stuffed and disc moving about causing pads to move about. You better get your jack out and give everything a good shake - check the front boot for anything loose first!

or track rod ends (see if you can wobble the tyre when off the ground) or ARB drop links

I might be at Silverstone - we have just moved house and a day-pass from SWMBO will have to negotiated rather than applying paint etc...

Hi guys on with the knock noize i lifted the the bonnet and pushed the rubber grommet all the way down that holds the bonnet up.. and changed the nuts from the front. to the back i did not here a thing last night. when i went to the town fingers crossed and toes.. the true test will be when i go to silverstone or turn the ipod up

FAO Rob thanks for the advice regarding the dash. did what you said sealent and two pack apoxy. left over night with weight pushed against. it i took it off came away a smidge but worked what would i do without the website. cheers mate
