MG MGF Technical - Lotus Elise S1 wheels on an MGF?
I think that this may have been discussed before, but I hadn't seen all the critical dimensions. The PCD on the S1 is 95.25mm, with a centre bore of 56.6mm. Identical to that used on the MGF and TF. The spoiler is the offset, which is 10mm both on the front and the rear - which is much smaller than that found on any MG wheel (Trophy 26mm offset). So the wheels will fit (with a small increase in track) - but will they clear the wheel arches? Anyone tried? Elise S1 standard wheel sizes are: Front - 15" 6J Rear - 16" 8J |

Shame on me. :( They had spare wheels to try it, but we found no time to check. Driving was much more interesting. Anyone tried a 200bhp Elise (MK2 or MK1) accelerating ? Yeah, still impressed. I should be 30 years younger, own the Elly and have 10k Euro for conversion on the bank account :) http://www.mgfcar.de/event/2004_Rotec MPG's on top #2 and #3 is me sitting on a 200bhp MK1 co-driver seat. Elise equipped with short grade gear box. In front my MGF with another driver. The sound you hear isn't my MGF exhaust.... I want that ;) Anyway, this will be not the last meeting. May be later. |

Never mind Dieter - I am sure that there will be plenty of other opportunities to try this out. 200 bhp Elise? LOL must have been quite an experience! SteveB was at Gurston Down on Sunday. I was pretty much on the MGF record time @ 42.9 sec - but Steve, with neigh on 200bhp in his Elise, was a full 5+ seconds faster... wow! |

>neigh on 200bhp Ah, horse power! Sorry, couldn't resist it :) Ralph |
