MG MGF Technical - Manual
I have just bought a beautiful second hand MGF and am totally taken by it but am struggling with a few areas which would no doubt be explained in the manual which I assume comes with them as new. Does anyone know how I get hold of a manual for an MG MGF 1.8 VVC as mine is without ? |

Congratulations on your excellent taste in cars. You could always order a replacement manual from an MG dealer, but quite frankly, your best bet is to post your list of issues on this board then sit back for the replies. People around here board are usually very helpful, it's just a bit slow at present because of the hols. Chris (working, but about to pack and go home) |

Welcome to the fold Natalie ! Like Chris says you can order one from the dealer or best just ask your questions on the forum, A great crowd always willing to help...just take it easy on these wet days until you get used to the feel of a rear engine car... Safe and happy driving in 2003 Stu |

Natalie, my guess is you mean the Driver's handbook and not the Workshop manual; the handbook comes as part of a Literature Pack which you can order from any MG dealer, IIRC about £20. |

Hi, and welcome on board. You can get an owners manual for a 98 MGF in mint condition at Ebay until tomorrow. No difference in the manuals from MY 1995 until MY2000. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=418&item=749694028 From Australia, 7 quid only currently + shipping. For first overview I'd like to recommend the old FAQ, see link on top left of this thread. Though you might need deaper information about the immobilizer etc. Regards Dieter |

Natalie, I also lost my handbook. It's in the house somewhere but I can't find it. Brown and Gammon (see adverts at top of page)sell new handbooks on their website for about £8 and so I ordered one. As David Smith said above they are sold as part of a package and I was eventually charged about £20. I always meant to write and complain but never got round to it. After receiving the new book I doubt that it's been opened more than 2 or 3 times. However, I did regularly refer to it when I got the car at first so it may well be worth your time buying one (particularly if you need the other books as well) or why not join a local MGF Group and get a read at someone else's book. Enjoy your new car. David |

>However, I did regularly refer to it On which content ? Tyre pressure ? Lock system ? Oil recommendations ? May be worth to do an extract to any of the common websites. Paul Lathwell for UK ? Another for NL/BE/FR and one in DE :) Just ask for the needs. Technical data are content of this site, btw. See 'Model' link in the choice box on top right of this site. Dieter |

Hi, If you need a manual, I have a spare set of manuals including the folder that they are supplied with. If you want them make me an offer Paul; |
