MG MGF Technical - MEMS 1.9 control diagram ?

Hi All,

Iīve been looking in my workshop manual aka RAVE and couldnīt really find a control diagram of MEMS 1.9
Later versions MEMS 3, MEMS2J(VVC) are all there.
Reason I ask this is because MBE967 programmable ECUīs sometimes go pretty cheap and theyīr run on some K-engined 7īns.

I checked MBEīs website and found a spec sheet alright.

No engine bay fan control (same as EFI EURO 1)

thanks,
david.

When you say 'control diagram' David, what is it that you're after? The pin out/ wiring diagram?
Rob Bell

Actually Rob just all sensors signals going in and all signals going out. be it ABS, ignition,... . In order to compare with wat MBE can handle.

i.e. when you go to chapter "engine management" of the workshop manual, you will find on pg 8 a control diagram showing in pictorials every interaction through the ECU (MEMS).

Also, in the workshop manual, a pin out list is only detailed for MEMS3. Or there is mention of pinout details for ECU upto MY2001. But that is not really relevant because before 2001, there was MEMS1.9 and by 2000, MEMS3 was already introduced. All in all not very clear.

I believe MBE967 cannot handle the purge valve as standard option. but it has 2 additional programmable outputs.
WOnder if anyone has experience using MBE.

I thought MBE967 was used in some of the TVRīs. they must be environmentlly compliant, not?

In case Dieter Reads this:

I found the electrical schedules on your web site (as usual, where else,...?)

Guess what, they are MEMS 1.9

I think it is strange that RAVE versions donīt comprise all MGF/TF models.

You never seize to amaze me *LOL*

Dieter, on the second page of the schedules, do you know what "EBFF W/LT" stand for. it is at socket C15917.
David Peters

No idea. Will have a look.
Should be anything with the speed signal ?

Dieter

I think the speed signal is specified by tachometer output on the second page below.
