can anyone help as ive a mgf and the hood will only go back 2 thirds. Nothing seems to be stopping it and it worked last summer when i last used it.
any ideas

Is the second hoop from the front jamming against the third as the roof goes back? Use more often!

hi chris, my hood was doing the same so i gave all the joints a good spray with wd40 now it glides up and down like it should. good luck

my hood is getting stuck exactly the same, I have tried WD40, and all sorts of pushing and prodding. took it t the garage today and they said I had to take it to an MG roof specialist. there must be an easier (and cheaper) solution.

THE elastic goes weak in the straps when putting roof down pull the first strap towards front of car at the same time just take the weight of the roof with other hand and let down together

Thanks to other posters on here i have sorted my problem and it is an easy one so here goes..Ann you need to lift the second bar when it goes back to take the strain off the roof and it will go back easy.
