MG MGF Technical - MGF Tail Pipe
On arriving home I noticed one of my chrome tail pipes missing, the actual pipe from the back box is there. My question is are these replacable? and if so how are they fixed on. I had a very quick look but did not see how they are fixed on. Thanks. |

Sounds like your exhaust is about to break up! perhaps you might want to consider getting one of these. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4588711662&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 |

Or if you're more of a shrinking violet and just want new trims, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-ROVER-MGF-EXHAUST-CHROME-TRIMS-NEW_W0QQitemZ4589112127QQcategoryZ10414QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

The back box is in good condition its just the end piece must have corroded.Does any one know how they fix in place? |
DK |
they were welded in place as far as I can remember. |

I think you're right Bob. DK - I suspect that the rest of the exhaust could be on the way out too :o( |
Rob Bell |
DK I think Rob is right. I have just ordered the production run of the exhausts, including a few mods to my specification. They will come in polished stainless!!! A massive 3" welded on shiney end piece is available (at additional cost) too! |

DK, a 4000 mile dry weather 1.6 had exactly the same problem so my not be your whole system. In this case a trip to Halfords and two new finishers which clamped on to the remaining pipe, costing a total of £44 solved the problem. (2 because we could not find one to match) |

Hmmm for £200 you vcan have one of the best pipes out there... lifetime guarantee too! |
Neil |
Thanks for the input. I will get the exhaust inspected and take it from there. |
