MG MGF Technical - Mgf Value

Anyone know what a 1997 P reg MGF on a CAT D is worth
No service history, But a few receipts including head gasket renewal.
All damage is repaired ( but it was very minor )
12 months MOT
Trophy front and rear spoilers.

As a guide you could use the following, taking into account mileage and condition along with the CAT D the value may be a couple of hundred less.

OOPS.. from what i have seen for sale private and trade i would also say the above is about right
Mileage , any mods and also leather seats etc.... will put the value up a little.
Also have a look on ebay some standard p reg f,s seem to go for about 2,000 ....2,500.
Personally i,d get any car checked over by aa or rac .
With no service history i,d say that this was a must.
There are loads of mgf,s about unless it was a real bargain i,d opt for one with a good service history

Have to agree. Insurance write off with no service history. If it also has high mileage and lots of owners could make it very difficult to shift at any price - just look at the range and quality on ebay against which it will need to compete.

PS How this is "technical"?

The car has 59k on the clocks and by the condition of the car i would say it was genuine. It has 8 owners me being the last and my wife the present. It has bills for the head gasket and other engine bits for £800. Overall it is a very tidy car but now i want to go back to 2 wheels so it has to go.
