MG MGF Technical - Mirror bulbs

Does any one know how to replace the bulbs in the mirror and the size of them? Got the plastic covers off but I do not know whether to turn the bulbs anti-clockwise or just pull! They refuse to shift. Nothing in the workshop manual on this. I want to replace the bulbs with LEDs.

How are you proposing to current limit?

The LEDs I buy have resisters incorporated. But not sure whether I can get a LED with resister small enough to replace current bulb.

They pull out

but unless you have 2mm finger tips its impossible to grab them

they are 5 watt
