MG MGF Technical - MK I vs. MK II Door panels
Hello all, Does anyone know whether the door panels from the MK II MGF fit onto the MK I doors?? Colin. |

Colin, AFAIK the F comes in pre MY 2000 and post MY2000 the main difference was in the interior, the external panels did not change, so the door panels are all the same. Mike |

Sorry, meant to say INTERIOR door panels... |

Doesn't Mk2 door cards have tweeters? If so then (assuming you want to make use of them) there will be some minor additional wiring. Also, door handle is different design so you need to make sure the new panels are complete as some of the old components won't fit. :) |

MY2000 door cards fit in the Mk1 MGF - I have them! :o)) You can get the door cards from a number of sources, including from our friends at Midland MGF and the MGF centre ;o) Yes, the MY2000 door card as an additional tweeter. If you can, get the door card with these and the associated wiring loom - unless of course you have your own tweeters to fit. :o) |

Thanks for the help guys. Rob, I don't suppose you have a ball park figure on a pair of door cards do you? |
Colin |
erm, crikey, no I don't remember Colin, as they were purchased along with a few other things at the same time. Sorry :o( I don't recall them being outrageously expensive though, for leather 'cards - but they are more expensive than the Mk1 version because of the premium added for the tweeters. |

Colin Unless somebody comes up with a figure, why not phone Midland MGF and just enquire? get their number from http://www.midlandmgf.com HTH |

I think a pair of door cards from Midland mgf were about £120 inc tweeters. The other difference with the MK2 cards is that the padded pods are removable/replacable. The MK1 pods are integral.... Tim |
