MG MGF Technical - New Engine
| Just had my new engine fitted at Tech-speed. Unfortunately I can't pick up the car until Saturday because they are fitting the newly developed suspension and brake package today. The new engine is a development between them and Engine Developments (of F1 fame) during the past year and is 2.1 capacity producing 245 bhp at 9000rpm. When Roy at Tech-speed told me last year when they were fixing my HGF that they were working on this engine I said I would have one. It has MTBs new ECU titanium crank and carbon fibre conrods. Unfortunately it has also meant a new LSD gearbox and driveshafts and of course brakes and suspension! Tech-speed have said wheelspin is a bit of a problem and rear tyre life could be short - but who cares. Will let you know how I get on. |

| 245bhp @9000rpm , wheel spin ........Now + cr*p exchange rate + freight + import duty 27.5% + GST 10% and will it pass any of our immesion rules, I think I had better start counting the pennies OOOOOOOOOH |
