to stop your hardtop from leaking tighting the clamps is a great place to start. then put some foam on the corners rear to lift up.. mine has stopped leaking thought i would post that

I am water tight in rag top but leaking with hardtop.

It comes in just at the top window corner of drivers side just where the hardtop connects to the front windscreen, it then drips onto seat or leg

I found nothing would work as its capiliary action drawing the water through.

So i took a piece of black insulation tape (sort electricians use) and put alongthe seal between hardtop and windscreen top for about about an inch and a half, with alf the width on the hartop/seal and rest on windscreen.

This fixed it and as the hardtop is black is fairly invsible. I rubbed it hard to make sure it sticks and this seems to have done the trick

I had ZV1s on the front which were unidirectional, and when I needed rear tyres they had changed to ZV3 which weren't. They still worked fine, and were very secure going round Knockhill in the wet. Got the brakes pretty hot as well! I've now got ZZ3 all round, no problems yet, but I've not managed back on track to really try them.
I got a pair of tyres for my Laguna via MyTyres.co.uk - they supply a very wide range of just about every brand under the sun. They came in a couple of days, and they have a list of local fitters you can contact - 2 tyres fitted for less than £120 all in. There's also blackcircles.com who do the same thing.

I have a set of Avon ZV3s on my F and they do inspire confidence especially in the wet. £305 all in at my local NTS.

I put a complete set of Avon ZV3s on my 99 MGF.
People knock Avons but I think they are great. I feel confident in the wet. Also have these on my Focus as well and all that comes to mind is sticks like SH*T to a BLANKET

Thanks for the comment re the hard top leak from the front corner, this has been frustrating me for a while. Does anyone know how thick the hard top is, and if it would be thick enough to machine (dremel) drainage channels the length of the hardtop about 4 inches in from each edge to prevent the fun of the water dripping onto your lap every time you lower the window or open the door in the wet ( pretty sure mark 2 hoods don't have this problem due to the design change)

Thanks, Alan

I stuck some black self-adhesive rubber strips along the edge to make a small gutter. Didn't so any tests to see how much it helped, but no doubt the thicker the strip the better. Haven't needed to use the hardtop recently, so it's suspended from the garage roof! Perhaps you could fix an L-section strip along the underside over the window to make a proper channel?

Thanks for the suggestions Mike :)

Will see what I can find/manufacture with out messing up the aesthetics too much.
