S Laithwaite

Sounds too good to be true doesn't it?!

Anyone got a technical reason that its a crock?! / use it and have proof it works?

OK, this is what it says about the product from the website! Maybe worth giving them a call! But as you all point out....proceed with caution! Maybe worth taking some to a Mike or Victoria for their opinion!

It's going to be worse than 'Snake Oil' - it's going to completely block the small coolant passages, and then CAUSE an HGF.

Inspired.

I dare somebody to give it a go !!!!

Me sent an inquiry to the ebay seller:

------------
Hello

I've a leaking gasket at the glass-roof of my eight years old Ford Fiesta.

Do you think your stuff will seal this as well ?
------------

No answer though.
;)
Dieter K.

I want a scientific answer!!!

We need some poor monkey to give it a go for us.... Megre.., where are you when we need you... !??!*^!!?

Neil H

from the desciption given it can not work, suggesting a copper/ ceramic polymer - doesn't exsist. What it will be is a temp. cure thermoset with copper powder and glass frit/ flakes in it. Very few polymers can tolerate high temp. most will decompose at 100-120c. Leaving behind the ceramic/glass and copper particles with nothing to bond to and will be washed away.

Thanks Simon..
but you've ruined all our lives :-(

>>> Seal-Up...the choice of the professional. <<<

This makes me worry even more.
Erik

No just get your engne rebuilt carefully if you get HGFthen you should be ok

Snake oil fixes are pretty dangerous

The old BMW I had was always suffering from the oil and water mixing but this was block porousity/cracked blocks. So much for BMW bulletproof reputation. I made an engine that passed muster out of two put it in the car, shoved some snake oil in it which worked for thre 50 miles i drove it and...sold it on eBay...!!
Neil

how do you sleep at night? ;-)
Neil H

Anyone tried Water Wetter in their car?

Is there any reason why said concoction might help prevent HGF?
