MG MGF Technical - performance mod!!!!!
Has anyone tried one of those engine performance mods that appear to be becomming popular on ebay, estimating a 15 bhp improvement for only £5!!!, or is it just another con? |

Darren I think we are all waiting for some brave and/or rich person to take a chance, buy one and report back. Are you that person? It is only a fiver. |

Darren, Now that you've sold your F, what have you replaced it with ? DC |

Hi DC, I now have an MG ZS 180, (a little more practical unfortunatly), but lots of fun all the same. cheers Darren |

Very nice. I hope you have many miles of pleasure from it. DC |

£5=15p resistor, add to air intake and the ecu thinks that the air going into the engine is cooler and so puts in more fuel, more fuel = more power, because running lean is something that the evil boys at MGR do to slow you down right? WRONG |
Will Munns |
Will is correct.... you are buying a 15p resistor for £5....all you will do is use more fuel and burn out your valves much faster. No performance enhancement will be gained. |
